Realignment for OStim
Want OStim animations to line up better?
With this tool you can edit and save the following information: character offsets, penis size, penis angle, and character scale.

You can save this information on a per-animation, per-animationpack, or a global basis. For example if you have an animation pack where everyone is off by just a bit you can realign them and save that data for the entire pack. Then when an animation from that pack plays, OStim will load that data. If you want more detailed fixes for each animation in this pack you can save some additional data on a per-animation basis and that will take priority.
Animation is saved based on gender, so if you do a realign with a male and female character, that data will not apply to female on female scenes and vice versa.

Saving & sharing
After saving some data it is written to Data/Meshes/OAlign/OAlign_default.json. You can share this file with others, and also rename it to something else, such as OAlign_female_realignment.json, so that you can have multiple alignment sets from multiple people all working together.
For example, if you create an animation pack you may want to create an OAlign json with some realignments set up for females, to do that you can make an alignment on a per-pack basis with your pack, then rename your OAlign_default to something else, and then distribute your pack with the json you just made. When people install the pack, the data in that json will automatically be loaded up by OAlign.

If you are just interested in making realignment for your setup and then sharing it with others, I recommend labeling your nexus upload based on bodies. For example, if you made some realignment data and your female body is cbbe and your male body is HIMBO, you should title your alignment data something like "OAlign HIMBO/CBBE alignment set". This is because the biggest factor in alignment is your body types, and your penis type as well, so it may also be helpful to list which SoS penis you used too.

Using the editor tool
You can start the OAlign editor by pressing L.

It uses the same controls as your OSA and OStim setup. Here are the controls if you are using default OStim/OSA control mappings:

IF YOU HAVE REMAPPED ANY OSA OR OSTIM CONTROLS, THESE BUTTONS WILL BE DIFFERENT FOR YOU
i.e. if you have ostim speed control mapped to the left and right arrows on your keyboard then those buttons will control the increment instead of -/+

Keypad 9 - change which character you are editing alignment for
Keypad 8 / Keypad 5 - change the current selected option
Keypad 4 / Keypad 6 - change the selected option's value
Keypad - / Keypad + - Change the increment that the above option will use
Keypad 1 (hold down) - Let time flow at 1/4th speed
L - Exit and save OAlign data

Hell yeah!!! :) Good work!! And to the testing team!

This is turning into a better SL framework with every add-on. Anything after this is just going to add to the quality of the MOD.

It's kinda glitching out like something else is trying to override my alignment also collision stops working sometimes.

ostim

afaik some people's setups just make the game engine angry and you get forced and random misalignment. I've been trying to track down causes for a long time now. Do you use hdt-smp

Mereel

By chance are you thinking about possibly making an ultimate edition of Ostim and all of its addons soon? As the number grows the more we gotta manage lol, but still amazing work!

ostim

I think the new nexus collections feature might let me package them up into a one click download but we'll see!

I am having some difficulties with OAlign. It has some good functionality. But it is not perfect in its current state. If I change scale or make minor adjustments to current sliders, then hands and feet become unalignable and clip through npcs/player parts. Could you add potential tilt or rotate sliders for limbs too, so we can fix those clipable parts? Also, the penis slider for females does not work with tilting vaginal opening/canal. Could we get a pelvic tilt for females so vaginas can align better too? For example on male to female foreplay, I can change alignment of the overall character for the actual action to be occurring between male fingers and female vagina, but then the male hand that is supposed to be rubbing becomes too high and hovers high above the female. Making it not alignable completely. The same happens for standing poses. Male lower part can tilt, but female vagina can not tilt to meet the required angle causing clipping through stomach and then hands and arms clip too. I have also found that the angle penis slider does not change scale for minor adjustments lower than hole numbers. I can not currently adjust angle with .1 or lower, it still causes a 1.0 change. And the penis scale size in oalign does not change anything for me currently. Can you help with these items?

ostim

You've found all of the limitations of the tool at once :p - Limb/body tilting: I've looked at it, it's really performance heavy and complicated to implement so I had to skip on it for the release. I'm looking at adding it in the future sometime - vaginal opening and angle: Since the canal is just a static mesh, there's no way for us to edit this. Technically the there's a RM slider for making it larger or smaller but none for angle - angle for lower numbers: This one is a schlongs of skyrim limitation, it only has 20 angles (or 10 was it?). Penis size scale - This is some kind of bug, I think it might be because you're using the SoS racemenu sliders addon? Try removing that. This setting interacts with the size setting in SoS's mcm, hopefully you know which one i'm talking about because its hard to explain where it is, but that setting is hidden with the racemenu stuff on Sorry about the current limitations, alignment is extremely hard, a lot harder than people think. Probably the hardest thing. I wanted to provide something on-par with SL's at the very least and improve it down the road.

Molav

Okay, thank you for the information. Hopefully it can have some improvements later on.

This is good but during scenes the actors snap back and forth between alignment positions sometimes. I did disable anything related to alignment on the Ostim MCM, to no avail. Also, some scenes that used to align properly are misaligned after using the tool. Thank you so much for making this however, I can tell it must have been hard to create.

ostim

Yes there's a good deal of variance in how well this works for people depending on setups. For some people they say it works perfectly, others have issues like this. Seems to vary based on the combination of bodies, physics settings, and ostim settings. It's a problem i'll likely never be able to solve.

Thanks for a great job. Perhaps this situation is only for me: NPCs with irregular heights shrink to 1.0 size if they participate in edited animations. Can it be possible to remove this function ???

Sorry for the bad english. Google translator translated.
