Please welcome Last Stand Media's tech analyst, Tom from Moore's Law Is Dead and Broken Silicon, back to Sacred+. I (Colin) invited Tom to the show for the first time this year to delve deeper into recent rumors surrounding PlayStation 5 Pro, rumors that were actually first discussed in a looser form on this very program and with this very guest  back in 2022. But such a line of inquiry naturally led Tom and I to some other parallel conversations too, not only about PS5 Pro, but about the possibility and likelihood of a PS5 Slim, and of course what may happen when PlayStation 6 rolls around in Year 202X. Anywho: Let's talk hardware, shall we?

No need for PS5 pro. They haven't pushed the PS5 to it's full potential yet.

I actually forgot what it was like to have CLS content I'm interested in on Tuesdays lol.

Some real nuggets in this one. Solid.

I've held off on getting a PS5 in hopes that a slim is released. The current version won't fit in my entertainment center

Trevor Myers

Really great conversation, I hope they make a PS5 Pro with 4K/60FPS as the standard.

Hose A Contra Razz

Will he be on Defining Duke to talk a bout Xbox ?

Great podcast. Good to see Moore’s Law back after quite a long hiatus. I’m sort of puzzled at the PS5 Pro rumors. It seems tone deaf in some sense, especially coming off the heels of the PSVR2 falling flat. Another new product to satisfy a niche audience doesn’t seem sensible, less so than it did during the PS4 generation. Sony still hasn’t risen to meet commercial demand for the existing product, and the system hasn’t seemingly hit its limits from a software standpoint. We’re still waiting for proper PS5 games. What does seem really attractive is trading in my system for a slim potentially with a disc drive sold separately. The console is a bulky behemoth and many of us have been wanting a size reduction since day 1. I imagine some aren’t buying it for that reason too, lol.

I want a PS5 Slim with a disc drive.
