This is what it's all about

Why do you guys think games are not called "Arkham like" but we feel free to call alot of things "souls like"? Arkham is just as influential as the souls game imo. Still see its DNA in modern games.

Yeah, that touchscreen to pan in Hotline Miami on PS Vita is exactly why it plays worse there, than on the big boy consoles. You have to take your hand off controls to do it, meanwhile on PS3, for instance, you just pressed L2 to pan the screen around and you could still move and aim. Using this mechanic was unfortunately integral to playing HM since enemies could see you, and kill you, from beyond the screen. It didn't stop me from getting the platinum on the Vita, but I remember that it felt frustrating and cumbersome to play because of that. In case anyone wants to check these games out - avoid the PS5 versions, since they have crippling hitching and stuttering issues that get worse and worse the more you die (I think they moved it to a different engine). At first it's fine, but in the later, more demanding levels, you have to wait like 20-30s to play after each death. On the topic of HM2 - it was inferior becuase you were locked to certain loadouts, skills, and masks in most missions, the story became almost incomprehensible, and the maps became too big. It was no longer a bite-sized experience you could just play a round of before bed.

Maybe it was the latency on the call or something but the way Brad kept interrupting people the whole time was bad.
