I'm so glad you did this movie. One of my favorite comedies. It's a parody of the old James Bond movies from the 1960's/70's. Not sure if yall ever watched any of those old movies. They were good, but dated a bit. There were always these super villans and clever plots, and 007 would do some amazing things to save the world and get the girl. Austin Powers is such a hilarious reference to lots of those themes.

As others have said, these three Austin Powers movies are based on the Sean Connery James Bond movies, with a little Matt Helm thrown in for good measure. It would be cool if you guys could watch those Connery James Bond films before moving forward with the last two Austin Powers movies, as they do make a ton of references to the Bond stuff, but hey, if not, more Powers movies are always good so no complaining from me. And yes, as Michael and Darth Brooks alluded to... Looking at them, do you Dr. Evil and Austin Powers look similar? ;)

I'm in agreement with everyone that was glad you viewed/reacted to Austin Powers. Hope you watch all three movies.

Glad y’all watched Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, which is one of my favorite comedy movies along with the two other Austin Powers movies. Mike Myers is so funny as Austin Powers and Dr. Evil. In the second movie, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Mike Myers also plays Fat Bastard. Here’s the trailer. https://youtu.be/LGVjoLlgHbM In the third movie, Austin Powers in Goldmember, Mike Myers also plays Goldmember, so he has four roles and in this movie Mike Myers teams up with Beyonce. Here’s the trailer. https://youtu.be/XROEPkzyCRg Both movies are well worth watching.

I forgot how funny this movie is. If you’ve seen James Bond movies, it makes it a lot funnier. But even as a stand-alone, it still makes me laugh.

Forgive me for this dumb comment, but do you guys know that Mike Myers is playing both the roles of Austin Powers and Dr. Evil? I wasn't sure if you guys were aware or not I may have missed it. This was a trend in the 90s similar to Eddie Murphy playing multiple roles in "The Nutty Professor". This movie was a definite spoof of all of the 1960s James Bond spy films. The sequel "The Spy Who Shagged Me" was a play on the Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me", and the other sequel "Goldmember" is a play on "Goldfinger." Robert Wagner portrays Number Two, and he was a huge star going back to the 1960s. I recommend both sequels. Great reaction!

Started with Peter Sellers in “Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb”. He played multiple roles, all comedic.
