THIRST UP - (Jessie Rasberry & Cloud Strife)

Time to get this project some reviving and enhancin’. First, we upgraded all sessions to Blender 4.0. As expected, this process partially broke things here and there, especially rigs. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed though. All’s up and running better than before now. Most noticeable are viewport performance improvements that were implemented in the latest major Blender releases. Worth it for that alone.

Original animation was intended as a 24fps movie, which is quite meh by today’s standards. So we decided to aim for 60fps for the release version. This, yet again, breaks things at certain points. All physics need to be baked as caches; camera angle switches that hide sudden pose changes need to be minded etc.

LOYALTY - (Ellie & Jesse)

Facial mocap done and implemented, in addition to hand animated bits. A couple of voice lines mocap lip-synced to save time and tedium. Additionally, a crapton of small animation adjustments to add a bit of body language that support said voice lines.

As science states (a somewhat) clothed sex is around 87% better than pure naked sex. Steamy bathroom scenario just asks for some wet fabrics somewhere in there. Hence, we’re doing two versions of Loyalty. Clothed and non-clothed.
