When Wang Lu finished dealing with New Sea Technology and returned to the headquarters of Cybertron Technology in South Capital, half a month had already passed.

In half a month, he had cleared out the management of this well-established domestic storage corporation.

The influence of the original New Sea Technology shareholder family had been significantly diminished in a short amount of time.

Of course, there was a price to pay for this.

Due to the management changes, many factories under New Sea Technology had come to a halt. Over ninety percent of the workers had been on paid leave for half a month, and it was expected that they would have to continue their leave for another half a month as they awaited the upgrade of the factory's machinery.

Thanks to Sun Cheng's financial resources and Cybertron Technology's main business, which was now storage devices, being just a stepping stone and a cash cow in his plan, there weren't many plans for layoffs.

With the completion of the acquisition of New Sea Technology, the production issues with Cybertron hard drives were finally resolved.

Wang Lu, as the Group CEO, took the lead in hosting the press conference for Cybertron Technology Group's subsidiary, Cybertron Storage Technology Corporation, after successfully acquiring New Sea Technology.

Cybertron Technology Group also managed to secure a significant amount of media coverage in various technology sections and even on major news portals in the country.

Discussions and attention surged as a result.

"...Didn't we just see PandaWeiyun being acquired by Cybertron Cloud Disk not long ago? And now, another corporation has acquired New Sea Technology in just a few days. They must be loaded."

"Holding onto technology gives you confidence. They probably attracted investments... Cybertron hard drives are really good, affordable and durable."

"...New Sea Technology got acquired? That's good news. I bought a 1TB hard drive from New Sea a couple of years ago, and it developed logical bad sectors within two months. After sending it for repairs, it lasted a little over a year before completely failing."

"...New Sea's hard drives are indeed subpar, but Cybertron hard drives are top-notch. After I became a Cloud Disk member, I received a 10TB one, and it's been a smooth experience."

"Cybertron Cloud Disk is a true gem, giving away hard drives to members... The hard drive quality is also excellent. Let's support Cybertron and let them dominate the domestic storage market."

"Oh, so Cybertron Cloud Disk belongs to this parent corporation. Cloud Disk is great, and they don't randomly restrict resources... The only downside is that you can't share the content stored in Cloud Disk."

"Be content, folks. Cybertron Cloud Disk has the most lenient policies in the country right now. It's just that they don't allow sharing. Isn't it good enough for personal use?"

With Cybertron Technology's acquisition of New Sea Technology, once the equipment upgrades were completed, New Sea Technology would take over the production of Cybertron hard drives.

Sun Cheng would gradually transfer various types of storage-related technologies to New Sea Technology.

Although this would increase the production cost of hard drives compared to Base One, there was still a substantial profit margin compared to other products on the market.

The market share of Cybertron Cloud Disk within Xia Country had increased significantly during this period of growth.

By the second day of August, the latest statistical report delivered to Sun Cheng's office revealed that the total downloads of Cybertron Cloud Disk had exceeded 87 million times. Approximately 60% were from PC users, while 40% were from mobile users.

The backend data for the corporation also showed that the number of users who used Cloud Disk for more than an hour had surpassed 64 million, with over ten million users subscribing to various membership services.

Both Sun Cheng and the entire Cybertron Technology team were quite satisfied with these numbers.

After successfully importing data from PandaWeiyun, millions of users switched to Cloud Disk from Weiyun, causing a surge in users for this technology company that had been in operation for less than half a year. It had become the second-largest data storage service provider in the country, right after OneHundred Cloud Drive, which focused solely on online services.

Moreover, unlike OneHundred Cloud Drive, which primarily relied on selling memberships and super memberships, Cybertron Cloud Disk offered both online storage services and hard drive products. This diversified revenue stream was more stable and attractive.

The future looked promising for the corporation, and the financial prospects were bright.

However, Sun Cheng only had a cursory understanding of these matters. He left the management and development of these two subsidiary corporations, which were showing strong growth, in the hands of their respective new leadership teams.

When it came to the press conference for the acquisition of PandaWeiyun, Sun Cheng did not make an appearance, and for the acquisition of New Sea Technology, he had entrusted Wang Lu with the responsibility.

He was increasingly acting like a boss now. Apart from reviewing some financial reports and providing technical guidance for his subsidiary corporations, Sun Cheng rarely got involved in day-to-day management.

This was because Liu Nianyuan and others had informed him that the Equipment Department had provisionally approved his earlier application for a Level 2 Defense Military Industrial Contractor License.

However, completing the related approval procedures would still take some time. Therefore, in the coming period, he planned to focus most of his time and energy on his other two subsidiary corporations.

The Level 2 license he was about to obtain would be handed over to another subsidiary corporation under his control, Future Mechanical Technology Corporation.

According to his original plan, Cybertron's other subsidiary, Advanced Software Technology Corporation, would be responsible for research in the field of artificial intelligence, primarily focusing on software.

Artificial intelligence was undoubtedly one of the most advanced fields in modern technology. Progress had been slow since countries and corporations had begun venturing into it at the end of the last century.

Only in recent years, with the emergence of products like Google's AlphaGo, Apple's Siri, Microsoft's Xiaobing, and a series of other artificial intelligence products, had there seemed to be significant progress. However, the future prospects were still uncertain.

The current AI, which claimed to be based on "deep learning" principles, was, in reality, based on the same principles as IBM's Deep Blue, which relied on extensive database calculations using existing data.

To date, no country or entity had been able to create a truly self-thinking logic framework for AI. This meant that the kind of AI depicted in movies and TV shows, with the ability to think, learn, and create on its own, had yet to be realized.

Sun Cheng hoped that Future Software Technology Corporation could accomplish this task in the future. He aspired to one day deploy truly intelligent robots to fight for him in the Transformers Universe, reversing his disadvantageous position against the Autobots and Decepticon Legion.

Future Mechanical Technology Corporation, on the other hand, was responsible for cutting-edge mechanical and robot-related technologies. Their goal was to advance technology as much as possible before the birth of true artificial intelligence so that they could create more perfect mechanical bodies for intelligent robots in the future.

The Intelligent Mechanics Laboratory had already been handed over to Future Mechanical Technology Corporation for management. With the government's attention and the impending Level 2 license, Sun Cheng believed that he would be able to recruit highly skilled professionals.

This way, the first research project for the Intelligent Mechanics Laboratory was also established.

He had already organized the relevant technologies for Semi-Exoskeletal Mechanical Armor. South China University of Technology, as one of the top engineering institutions in the country, had outstanding research capabilities in various fields, including mechanics, microelectronics, and power.

Sun Cheng wasn't short on funds, but he had initially been concerned that the professors and researchers introduced to him by the university's president, Shen Peiyuan, might have mixed levels of expertise.

However, with the Level 2 military license and the government's attention, he should be able to recruit some truly capable experts.
