While the three of them were conversing, a certain English word appeared a few times.

"pany!"

Coincidentally, Sun Cheng was quite familiar with this English word.

In English, it meant "company." It might seem ordinary, but when spoken by three individuals who seemed to be involved in intelligence work, the word took on another meaning.

In the United States, the Central Intelligence Agency, abbreviated as the CIA, used "pany" as a code word among spy and intelligence personnel from various countries.

"... Should I take the initiative to make contact?"

After confirming the other party's identity to a reasonable extent, the cloud of anxiety that had hung over Sun Cheng's mind for over half a month gradually dissipated. He propped his chin and began contemplating.

In the "Transformers Universe," he had already dealt with several national-level forces.

Although Sun Cheng knew that his successes in the alternate world were often attributed to his distinct mechanical body, which was vastly different from a human form.

After all, the alternate world featured extraterrestrial life forms, and his appearances as a Decepticon in that form established a good foundation for future collaborations with several national powers.

But the true root of his success was benefits.

Being able to offer something enticing to any nation was the key to his success in the alternate world.

And such resources were abundant in both the "Transformers Universe" and the Real World.

"The immediate concern is to determine which organization they belong to!"

Currently, the domestic government recognized only two intelligence agencies. One was the National Security Bureau, responsible for overseeing foreign intelligence personnel in China and preventing foreign infiltration. They also dispatched intelligence agents abroad to gather information from other countries.

The second one was the Foreign Intelligence Investigation Bureau, often humorously referred to by domestic internet users as "foreign interference."

As for whether there were other intelligence agencies within the military or the government, Sun Cheng didn't know.

His foundation in the Real World was still weak, and with his limited resources, there were many things he couldn't access. Therefore, he could only speculate about the identity of the other party based on these two possible options.

It was important to determine whether the people monitoring him were from the National Security Bureau or the Foreign Intelligence Investigation Bureau.

After all, the focuses of these two agencies were different. The National Security Bureau primarily dealt with military and political intelligence, holding a status equivalent to various central departments. It reported directly to the president and had deep connections with the Ministry of National Defense and the military, as various internet literature and foreign news had mentioned numerous times.

On the other hand, the Foreign Intelligence Investigation Bureau focused more on technological, industrial, and economic intelligence. It collaborated closely with departments such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Finance.

Knowing whether the people surveilling him were from the National Security Bureau or the Foreign Intelligence Investigation Bureau would help Sun Cheng decide what bait to use.

He had plenty of valuable resources on hand. In the "Transformers Universe," with the appearances of numerous Decepticon leaders, and up until his recent return to China from that world, he had ensured that the "DecepticonLegion" wouldn't target the world's factories. That way, he wouldn't lose another trump card in a conflict.

As a result, a promising industrial nation was temporarily utilized merely as a source of raw materials and basic products.

However, this situation allowed Sun Cheng to bring a lot of Cybertron Technology into the Real World during his two returns.

Among these resources were various technologies tailored for Earth by his team of Decepticon engineers, as well as advanced equipment and instruments.

Now that not only the United States but even his own country had begun investigating whether he obtained items from extraterrestrial civilizations on Nubra Island, it was clear that he had two choices: passively accept the investigation or take matters into his own hands.

Undoubtedly, he chose the latter.

If he could establish a connection with the country, it would not only accelerate his development plans in the Real World, but he could also delegate unnecessary troubles to the nation's shoulders.

Of course, all of this was based on the best-case scenario.

All nations were composed of politicians, and dealing with them posed significant risks.

In the "Transformers Universe," Sun Cheng had witnessed firsthand the political changes in Moscow over nearly a year, experiencing a fair share of intrigue, deception, and manipulation. He had even faced life-or-death moments on more than one occasion.

In that world, he had mechanical body, which provided him with opportunities to fight against the odds. But in the Real World, a simple bullet costing only a few cents could end his life.

Therefore, mere interests weren't enough.

Wealth could move hearts, but who could guarantee that the valuable resources he presented wouldn't arouse corrupt intentions in certain politicians?

Inside Safehouse Number Three, silence fell for a moment. It was only interrupted by the ringing of a phone, breaking the prolonged stillness.

Xiao Wu, which transformed into a metallic spider-like form, extended four slender metal legs and hopped onto Sun Cheng's side from a workstation several meters away.

Taking the phone, Sun Cheng checked the caller ID. It was a call from Ye Qi.

Glancing at the time displayed on the phone, he realized that he had spent too much time in the Safehouse today. He was about half an hour later than usual returning home.

He answered the call, and Ye Qi's voice came through, inquiring, "Hey, it's me... Why haven't you come back so late today? Did you have dinner outside?"

"... There were some matters at the company to handle. I've finished up, and I'll be home soon. Go ahead and make dinner..."

Ye Qi initially had a contract with Laurel Network, broadcasting during the time from 8 PM to 4 AM to avoid competing with some major anchors.

Even though she was no longer under contract, she seemed to have grown accustomed to a nocturnal lifestyle. She continued streaming at night, and even after ending her broadcasts, she enjoyed staying up late watching movies and videos before finally going to bed.

So during the day, she mostly caught up on sleep and engaged in activities outside in the afternoon.

After hanging up the call, Sun Cheng stretched lazily, and if anyone observed closely, they could see the wrinkles on his forehead that hadn't appeared for a while. Clearly, his mind was still occupied with thoughts.

He cast a glance at Revenge, who had stood motionless like a model toy for over an hour. Sun Cheng felt a tinge of envy.

He had fantasized more than once about keeping his mechanical body after returning to the Real World.

Just as he was about to change Revenge back into a laptop computer form and leave the Safehouse together, a sudden burst of insight flashed through his mind. It hit him like a lightning strike, making him slap himself on the face.

"… I pride myself as an intelligent person, but I've been incredibly confused recently... Searching for a horse while riding a horse. That's exactly what I've been doing..."

Muttering to himself, his calm face, which had been devoid of intense emotions for a long time, showed a tinge of ferocity due to his excited mood.

However, Sun Cheng didn't care about appearances.

Because just now, that burst of insight not only gave him an idea about how to deal with the national forces in the Real World but also provided a solution to his long-standing issue of physical weakness in the Real World.

Next, it was time for him to take the initiative.
