XXX-----XXX-----XXX-----XXX

Time flies by, and half a month has passed in a hurry.

Late at night, in a room that has been transformed into a laboratory at the deepest part of an abandoned nuclear missile launch shaft nearly a hundred meters below ground.

Sun Cheng was buried in it, looking at the rows of data on a huge monitor in front of him, lost in thought.

"...so that's how it is..."

Taking a deep breath, after several days of effort, Sun Cheng finally succeeded in extracting Blackout's memory chip from his Core.

Combined with the new Decepticon he named "Green Skin" who willingly acted as a guinea pig for his experiments, and some ancient legends from Frenzy's memories, Sun Cheng felt that he had finally grasped some secrets about the Core, the Templates, the Spark, and even the Cybertronian civilization.

The Spark is a concept that has existed since the birth of the Cybertronian civilization.

Legend has it that the Spark is the source of life and the soul of the Cybertronians, and it is the most essential part of mechanical life. Without the Spark, life cannot be conceived.

In the early days of the Cybertronians, Cybertron Planet was rich in resources and seemed to have had a long period of peace at the beginning of the Cybertronian civilization. At that time, an extremely glorious Primes dynasty seemed to have appeared on Cybertron Planet, but unfortunately, it cannot be verified.

The early Cybertronians had a perfect life breeding system, just like humans on Earth. The young mechanical life could be naturally conceived from the mother's body and had a Spark as soon as they were born.

Later, Cybertron Planet was invaded by the Quintessons, and the evil Quintessons cruelly ruled over Cybertron for a long time.

It wasn't until anger erupted from exploitation that the Cybertronians drove out the Quintessons through a revolution and ushered in the most glorious and technologically advanced ancient council period on Cybertron Planet.

The Cybertronians have been using different Templates (also known as modules) to differentiate scientists, warriors, workers, and so on, just like human professions. It should be the predecessor of the Core.

The period of the ancient council was the most glorious period of the Cybertronian civilization, so Sun Cheng speculated that the Templates might have been born during this period.

Decay always comes after glory. It seems that in the latter period of the ancient council, the once enlightened ruling class gradually became corrupt, and the long life made them begin to indulge in power struggles and enjoyment, thus leading to exploitation and hierarchy.

The conflict with extraterrestrial civilizations such as the Eshems also intensified the internal contradictions of Cybertron, and finally, those who were dissatisfied with the corrupt rule of the ancient council rose up.

A war that lasted for countless years finally broke out, and the rebels representing the exploited class eventually destroyed the ancient council, which also destroyed the most glorious era of the Cybertronian civilization.

However, the victors did not enjoy peace for long. In the latter period of the ancient council, racial prejudices began to arise among the Cybertronians.

The warmongers, colonizers, and conspirators formed a group, eager to expand externally and have more power, which became the original Decepticons.

The forces that advocated reflection, restraint, and stopping the exploitation of Cybertron Planet's resources also emerged, and they advocated peace and called themselves Autobots.

At the beginning of the birth of the two races, they could still restrain each other, as many Decepticon high-level officials and Autobot commanders had fought side by side in the previous war against the ancient council.

But as the differences between the two races became more and more severe, especially regarding the control of Cybertron Planet and the distribution of the ancient council's legacy, the differences between the Decepticons and the Autobots became increasingly irreconcilable.

Finally, the Decepticons, who had the advantage in the military, took the lead in provoking the conflict. The resolute Autobots refused to show weakness, and both sides divided the land, but no one expected that a war would turn into a cruel civil war that almost destroyed the Cybertronian civilization.

The cold war lasted for countless years, until the Cybertronian earthquakes continued, volcanoes erupted, and even the sea began to dry up. The Decepticons and Autobots finally realized that the civil war had brought Cybertron Planet to the brink of destruction.

They were forced to sit at the negotiating table and, after a difficult struggle, finally reached a ceasefire agreement that was not very binding.

The continuous wars severely destroyed the Cybertronian civilization, and no more mechanical life could naturally reproduce. Resources were depleted, civilization regressed, and technology experienced a huge gap.

After the first civil war ended, in order to maintain the survival of their race, both the Decepticons and Autobots tacitly chose the same path: to destroy all interstellar coordinates, seal Cybertron Planet, and enter a long period of hibernation.

It wasn't until over ten thousand years ago that the Decepticons and Autobots woke up from their slumber one after another, and soon after began a new civil war that lasted for tens of thousands of years.

The concept of the "Core" did not appear in the ancient Cybertronian era. It is said that it may have originated from the hands of the shockwave, the great scientist of the Decepticon army. After losing the ability to naturally reproduce, the Decepticon army lacked manpower. On the basis of the "template," he developed a simplified and low-end version of the "Spark" that also had the performance of the "template," which allowed the Decepticon army to have a constant supply of cannon fodder and workers.

Therefore, strictly speaking, Sun Cheng's previous understanding of the "Spark" as a type of "Core" was actually a misunderstanding.

As for why the new Decepticons born from the radiation of the "All Spark" were far inferior to the low-level Decepticon cannon fodder equipped with the "Core," Sun Cheng roughly guessed the reason.

The strength of a Decepticon's mechanical body affects the performance of the "Core" and "Spark." Originally, Green Skin was just an ordinary coin-operated beverage vending machine in Las Vegas, and naturally did not have a good foundation.

In addition, the information and energy injected from the "All Spark" during its transformation were also very limited, which led to the birth of an empty shell product that had a "Spark" but no real power.

As Sun Cheng was staring at the screen to check the data, he suddenly heard a series of footsteps approaching. With a sweep of his Core, he immediately knew that the Forerunner he had sent out to execute a mission a few days ago had returned.

He quickly chose to save his work and stored his results in the hard drive of the server.

Soon after, the voice of the Forerunner rang out, "Master, the mission you assigned to me has been completed, and I have returned!"
