Immortal Path Space : Table of Content/Chapter List

Wang Hong continued his search within the pile of boxes and finally came across a fully metallic box.

Opening it, he found various Jade Scrolls inside. He casually picked up one of them, and it contained teachings of a Cultivation Technique he had never seen before.

He checked several more Jade Scrolls, and they all contained content he had never encountered before.

Satisfied with his findings, he stored them away in his Space. The most crucial items here had likely already been taken by the Qingxu Sect. However, the remaining parts might still hold some reference value or reveal secrets he had never encountered before.

Soon, he had emptied the entire storeroom, and a small mountain of items piled up in his Space.

As he gazed at the emptied storeroom, his brows furrowed. His eyes fixed on a particular spot on the ground.

This spot had originally been stacked with numerous items, making it impossible to discern the ground beneath. But now, all the items were gone, revealing enigmatic Runes on the ground.

Wang Hong walked over and carefully examined them. The more he looked, the more his heart raced. This appeared to be a teleportation formation, just as described in ancient texts.

In the Cultivation World, teleportation arrays, as per legend, had ceased to be constructed long ago. The few existing ones were inherited from the past. However, judging by the traces, this formation seemed to be only a couple of decades old.

In other words, someone had set up a teleportation array here recently.

This only deepened his confusion. Demon Clan was reputed to be lacking in skills such as Alchemy, Refinement, and formation techniques. So, who had arranged this formation?

Wang Hong crouched down and approached the formation to study it closely. Though he couldn't set it up himself, he could deduce a few things.

After a while, he made several conclusions. Firstly, it was indeed a teleportation array. Secondly, it appeared to be a short-range bi-directional teleportation array, likely only functional within the Qingxu Mountain range. Lastly, the teleportation array was intact, meaning it was still operational.

He hesitated for a moment. Should he use the teleportation array to investigate the other side? Since the Qing Fox Clan had hidden a teleportation array here and stationed a Tier-Three Demonic Beast, there must be secrets within.

When it came to the enemy's secrets, it was best to uncover them. The hidden and unknown were often the most dangerous.

However, using the teleportation array came with risks. What if there was an ambush on the other side?

After pondering for a while, he decided to take the chance and stepped onto the teleportation array.

One of the primary reasons he dared to do so was that the Qing Fox Clan's Tier-Four Patriarch had already left for his Yunxia Mountain. As long as there was no Tier-Four Demonic Beast on the other side, he wouldn't be too fearful.

Once he was on the formation, he searched for a while and found two slots about the size of Spirit Stones. When he inserted two Spirit Stones into the slots, the entire teleportation array lit up.

He quickly stepped into the brightened teleportation array and waited for a moment. However, he remained in the same place, with no indication of being teleported.

"Could I have done it wrong?" he pondered for a moment. It seemed he recalled something, and he formed a technique with his hands, striking a jade plate within the array.

At that moment, the teleportation array's light flared brightly, enveloping Wang Hong entirely. Then, he felt a slight dizziness in his head.

When he regained his senses, the surroundings had drastically changed. He now found himself in a small chamber measuring only a few dozen feet across. There were no windows, and it seemed like the chamber was situated within a mountain.

The chamber had no other items except for an unusually designed altar placed in its center.

Wang Hong, who considered himself knowledgeable and well-informed, had never seen such an altar before. He had never even heard of it, leaving him clueless about its purpose.

However, Wang Hong discovered an item on this altar that deeply intrigued him.

It was a stone about the size of a fist, radiating a rich aura of Spirit Qi.

"This... This is actually a high-grade Spirit Stone!"

A high-grade Spirit Stone could be exchanged for ten thousand intermediate-grade Spirit Stones, and an intermediate-grade Spirit Stone could be exchanged for ten thousand low-grade Spirit Stones.

Such a high-grade Spirit Stone was an invaluable treasure for Golden Core cultivators and even Nascent Soul cultivators. The abundant Spirit Qi it contained made it an excellent choice for advancing in tiers or replenishing expended Spiritual Power.

This made him even more perplexed about this altar. What kind of altar required the use of a high-grade Spirit Stone? And if he guessed correctly, this secret chamber was built on top of Qingxu Mountain's primary Spirit Vein.

To require such an immense amount of Spirit Qi, the Qing Fox Clan must have had significant plans in mind.

However, any goals the enemy sought to achieve had to be disrupted.

He cautiously approached the altar and sensed no danger. Then, he released a Poisonous Bee, allowing it to make direct contact with the altar. No harm befell the Poisonous Bee, so he had it touch the glowing high-grade Spirit Stone.

The Poisonous Bee remained unharmed, and seeing this, Wang Hong breathed a sigh of relief. He extended his hand and carefully picked up the high-grade Spirit Stone.

Holding the high-grade Spirit Stone felt like bathing in a top-grade Spirit Vein.

Apart from this high-grade Spirit Stone, the altar was completely empty, devoid of any other items.

After admiring the high-grade Spirit Stone for a while, he reluctantly sealed it within a Jade Box and stowed it away securely.

Once he had the Spirit Stone, he used his Flying Sword to slice the altar into several pieces. The altar appeared formidable, but its function likely wasn't for combat, which is why Wang Hong effortlessly dismantled it.

He collected all the fragments of the broken altar. The materials used for refining the altar seemed somewhat unique, and he figured they might come in handy later.

After destroying the altar, he returned to the teleportation array and used it to return to the warehouse he had come from.

As he stepped out of the treasure vault, one of his Golden Core subordinates quickly approached him.

"East Master, we've cleared all the Demonic Beasts from the Heavenly Authority Peak, but..."

"But what?"

"We captured some Human Clan cultivators in the Pill Refining Hall. They claim to be fellow disciples of yours."

These captured cultivators hadn't been killed outright, which was unusual. What was even more surprising was that they claimed to be Wang Hong's fellow disciples. So, they had come to seek Wang Hong's judgment.

"Where are they? Take me to them."

Wang Hong also wanted to see these cultivators who had once betrayed the sect.

Soon, they arrived at a plaza where over a hundred cultivators were gathered.

With a glance, Wang Hong could tell that the majority of them were Qingxu Sect disciples.

"Senior Brother Wang, please spare us!"

"Senior Brother Wang, I promise to mend my ways!"

"..."

Seeing Wang Hong, these people clung to him as if he were a lifeline.

"I remember that many of you surrendered to the Demon Clan together back then, several hundred in total. What happened to the others?" Wang Hong inquired.

"They... they all met terrible ends..."

Then, these individuals began to speak out one after another, describing the hardships they had faced over the past few decades.

Learning that they had not fared well during these years, Wang Hong finally felt some relief, and his heart lightened considerably.
