2023-04-05 08:14:24 Yeah, the way I always saw it was - the spell made Cas throw up all the souls to send them back into Purgatory, which would have killed a human. BUT - since Cas is an angel, he's able to withstand a lot more spiritual energy than a human would be able to, but the actual spell process of putting all the souls back where they came from (or so help me!) kinda wipes him out. But when he wakes up again and appears to heal - that's the Leviathan taking over inside him and healing their new vessel. But they're only *just* starting as Cas wakes up, so he realizes it like a half a second too late that there's still something in there. Also - the venerable Julian Richings plays Death. I just love him :>
