Thanks for a really great reaction to what is a great story for me. I love the egyptology aspect of it & how they create something very real from all the mythology. Very Ancient Aliens! Of course there's Marcus Scarman played by the iconic Michael Sheard - a very accomplished actor who, throughout his career, played some very memorable characters including this one. Possibly best known for playing a very scary French teacher in the excellent series Grange Hill (about the lives of school children in a uk comprehensive School) Also, look out for him as an Admiral in The Empire Strikes Back (no spoilers there in case you haven't yet seen it). Looking forward to your reaction to the concluding part of this! See you next time!

Of course Michael Sheard plays Laurence Scarman but I agree with everything you say.

One of my favourite stories of all time.

Michael Sheard was a legend. Cast in Star Wars, played Hitler in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, but for those of us of a certain vintage growing up in the UK, he was that sadistic teacher Mr Bronson in Grange Hill.

David Vandervliet

This is where the fourth Doctor era really takes off for me. The Doctor, Sarah Jane, the TARDIS, some alien threat... it is all this show needs.

Yes, I've seen him in all the above. I have seasons 1-10 of Grange Hill on DVD. Would love to see Jess react to that one day!

I would absolutely love to see Jess react to Blake’s 7. Of course Michael Sheard cropped up in that as well at one point.

I never really saw much of Blakes 7 myself - although my brother in law loves it & keeps going on at me to check it out. Would certainly love to see Jess react to it at some point & so much more besides! I'm sure she'llnever be short of suggestions when running out of things to react to - if that ever happens!
