Of course, the most painful part of this whole story is that you know the whole time that Fives isn’t going to succeed in exposing Palpatine, so the only question is how bad it’s going to end for him.

To open on a positive note, I love the color coordination you have going on with the green, proving once again that you have a flawless color coordination game, Jess. The dread that I felt in revisiting this arc cannot be overstated. Addressing your comments, if I'm understanding your statements properly, you’re saying that although you’ve seen the overall tapestry that is Revenge of the Sith, it’s been so long that you do not have a clear recollection of the precise design, nor the intricacies of the threading of the tapestry. With that in mind I'll try to keep my comments somewhat vague. Your reaction throughout most of the first half of this arc, specifically you’re being stunned speechless, that reaction was shared by me in my first viewing. It was shared by the rest of the fandom as a matter of fact. To learn of the existence of the inhibitor chips and the discovery of Tup’s statements of the recurring nightmares was horrifying. Tup’s death is a scene that hurts quite a bit. You are correct in that something that adds to the dread in this arc is the fact that you know that a doomed outcome is unavoidable despite the efforts of Fives to have the outcome be otherwise. On related subjects, it was a pleasant surprise to see that somehow Admiral Trench managed to survive his presumed death, and thus, gets to be a recurring villain. The team-up of Fives and AZI-3 was quite a hoot. He was a funny little sassy droid. I rather enjoyed the moment where Rex points out that Anakin’s plan to save Tup seemed a touch foolhardy even by Anakin’s standards. What made it better is Rex clarifying that he doesn’t doubt that Anakin could pull off such a fantastic rescue, he simply is doubtful that either he or Fives will still be around to be able to share a cold one with Anakin afterwards. You say that your heart is breaking in watching this arc, and though I wish I could say to you that it won’t get worse, I really truly do, to say that would be a vicious lie, and I can’t lie to you, especially not about something like this. I’m so sorry.

You have to remember Sesska (or maybe you don't know) that Clone Wars ended after season 5, with other unfinished episodes in various stages of development at the time. Netflix acquired a season 6, so they decided what arcs they were going to tell to finish off the show; and the clone arc needs clarification for the movie. This season finished in 2013, and season 7 wasn't aired until 2020, so there is a huge gap between the seasons, and the choices of stories they are going to tell to finish out the series. AZ and Fives are a fun combo it has to be said however, and gives some levity to a very heavy storyline. We all have to remember that The Clone War is a tragedy for the Republic, Jedi and the galaxy at large, so while we know whats coming, it still hits hard when you have to watch it all unfold.
