Yeah, this was an arc that it may not have been the most impressive, but it is such a delight to watch. Again, I’m with you on wanting to deep-dive into the younglings and by extension the morally dubious nature of taking them from their families at such a young age. I love how they all worked together in this arc. You made excellent observations about Ahsoka’s growth in this show. You said it perfectly in your repeated comments saying that you hate how much you love Hondo. I’d say it’s safe to say that’s a sentiment shared by a fair amount of the fans. Me, I just love Hondo unashamedly. It is as you say, he is very much a wild card in that if a situation is such where he smells profit, he’ll be your best friend. But if he has concluded that “This effort... is no longer... PROFITABLE!” he will turn against you and be your enemy. And of course, Jim Cummings is an absolute riot as Hondo. I keep praying that one day we will see Hondo in live action, and that Jim will return to provide the voice, like how Corey Burton returned to provide the voice Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett. Hondo’s scenes plotline in this arc where he bonds with the youngling, Katooni are as you said semi-sweet. I was watching those scenes saying, “See kids, Hondo DOES have a heart. An itty bitty one perhaps, but it is there.” It was also so cool seeing Hondo piloting Slave 1. Your reactions to this arc were so much fun, Jess. Thank you so much.

It's quite telling that a lot of fans criticized Hondo for being out of character with how willing he is to hurt the kids. Apparently they forgot when he, say, tried to murder a whole town with a team of mercenaries.

If you love Hondo, you should really consider watching Rebels once Clone Wars is done.

This arc makes it very clear once again that Hondo is a homage to Captain Jack Sparrow! :D
