I love how Kamala’s discovering like how Spock described it, “After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.” Halfway through, and this is still my least favorite of the DIsney+ MCU shows. Still, it is fun and if nothing else, I’m enjoying hearing your perspective as well as I’m just enjoying sharing the journey with you. I like the focus on the family as well. Lovely mother/daughter and father/son scenes in this episode. I too would be a negative Nancy about Kamala’s powers in that there is a genuine question of how much or how little danger can come from them. I loved how Bruno gave her the advice of maybe it’s a good thing that she’s not Carol Danvers. The big dance sequence made me say, “They did not have anything like that at my brother’s wedding. Thank God.” That said, I’m glad you enjoyed the dance sequence. I was getting suspicious of Kamran’s mom, particularly as by the beginning of the episode, the show had yet to outright introduce and/or say who the villain was. So, I began to think they were going with a twist villain, and she seemed a likely candidate. It is heartbreaking that scene where Kamala doesn’t tell her parents the truth, understandable though it may be. I don’t really have any specific hopes for the remainder of the series beyond hoping that the copyrighted music eases up going forward. Though I did very much enjoy the Bon Jovi in this episode, upon hearing your comments at the end of the reaction, I concede your point that it’s more trouble than it’s worth with the copyrighted music. And as you say, if it keeps happening it’s not the end of the world, still, I agree that it’d be nice for you to have one less headache when it came to editing as well as the videos being potentially claimed.
