I love this story! The production team often talked in years to come about how their special effects team thought they could meet the demands of this story, but the reality......?! For me, it's one of the things I find most charming about Classic Who - they never let a complete lack of budget, time or in some cases expertise stop them from having a crack at really ambitious stuff. The results are glorious.......

One of the things I really love about following your journey through classic Doctor Who is getting a glimpse of how the audience at home must have reacted to these things at the time... I particularly felt it with the "The Monk's got a TARDIS!" bit in The Time Meddler, and here as well with the "Hang on, it only said Invasion last week!"
