Ah, ‘The Green Death’, or as it’s commonly known amongst fans ‘The One With the Giant Maggots’.

Oh my God, I'd forgotten all about the snake!

it was literally like it was there specifically for you and for no other reason whatsoever.

Thanks for another excellent reaction. I had the pleasure of watching this early today as there are very rare and extremely high winds over in the UK at the moment so we've all been given a day off! I like this story although the maggots turn my stomach slightly (not good to watch when eating!). On the Planet the Doctor visited, it's called Metebelis 3. Not somewhere I'd like to visit admittedly. Is the Doctor capable of travelling anywhere entirely peaceful without shenanigans going on?! Yes and definitely not Jo's hand towards the end - no rings! See you next time.

This story so terrified me as a 9 .y.o. that I've had a phobia of maggots ever since. Great story, though!

Janel Rodriguez

Did you notice how when she meets Professor Jones it is an echo of how she met the Doctor? Going in unannounced into his lab while he's working, disturbing his peace, knocking something over and annoying the "doctor" who then initially insults and patronizes her?

James Gorman

The Green Death is another Classic story from the Jon Pertwee Era. I suppose you could call it an Ecological Conspiracy Thriller. Dealing with the dangers of pollution. It’s definitely known to many Whovians like myself as the one with the giant maggots. Scary and relevant even today.
