To answer your question about the cast being listed in the credits, if I recall correctly, and it’s been a while since I’ve seen this show, so perhaps I am mistaken, starting with season two, DeForest Kelley’s name is added to the opening credits alongside William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. The rest of the cast remains being listed only in the end credits. Certainly, an interesting episode. Definitely one where I have to do a few mental exercises so I can wrap my head around it. Certain parts I’m saying, “Damn it. The drugs are kicking in. Wait, I’m not on drugs. Then what the hell am I looking at here?” The security on the Enterprise in this episode had more holes in it than a slice of Swiss cheese. I would have been in favor of tying Lazerus up past a certain point after he persisted in causing trouble. Grim is a very good word to describe the ending. And grim though it is, I share your thought in that I like the ending for how grim it is. I agree with you in that I’m not sure if I’d be able to sacrifice myself and leave myself trapped and locked in an epic battle until Judgment Day and trumpets sound all so that the universe or universes could be safe. Maybe if I really had nothing left to lose I could do it, but even then, I’m not so sure. Quite enjoyed your reaction to this episode. Next week’s episode is one I am very much looking forward to revisiting and seeing your reaction to it. I can’t wait.
