Balance of Terror is one of the best! The Romulans have always been my favorite Trek baddies. I appreciate even the little touches, like when leaving the briefing room- the rest of the bridge crew is out the door on their way, but Sulu stood by and waited for Kirk.

This one was one of the good episodes. It was intended to be reminiscent of a submarine hunter ship playing cat and mouse with a submarine, the phaser bursts were portrayed similar to depth charges.
