One episode in and already this is just so great! The dynamic between Obi-Wan and Anakin is a significant part of the show so you'll have plenty to look forward to there. As to the question of Anakin being a general: with the start of the clone wars any jedi who held the rank of knight or higher was granted the rank of general so that they would have justification to lead the clone army in battles. Now, an important thing to note is that Anakin being a general is only a military rank and that within the jedi hierarchy he is still a jedi kinight as the jedi council did not grant him the rank of master. I'm so very excited that you're excited, and I hope that the response to your Clone Wars reactions will be positive so that you can enjoy the whole show. It's going to be so much fun.
