I loved the last scene in this episode. Also, on a lighter note I love the names Dean comes up with. Alan Stanwyk name from Fletch was great. Especially since that is something Fletch would have done.

Sometimes SPN has episodes whose plot seems solely designed to serve as a parallel to what is going on in the boys' lives. I think those are generally the less successful ones, as they pay less attention to making the monster plot interesting. So while I enjoy the broments - especially the scene at the end - I agree that this episode is only middling. Don't worry - I think you're unlikely to step on anyone's toes with this one. There's lots better than this in Season 2. And that gold eyeshadow looks incredible on you, BTW. ETA: Forgot to say that they worked in that mention of Sam hurting his wrist towards the end of the episode because Jared broke his wrist IRL (must have been really uncomfortable for him to go without a cast in that last scene at the graveyard, poor thing!)

I hate when TV shows have something major happen to the characters and then and episode later everything is better and moving on. Supernatural is not one of those shows. This thing with John is rough and they fallout is immense. No quick hug it out broment for the Winchesters. We are going to apparently feel every inch of this and I love that.
