I remember following the series up until the First Movie so when I seen this movie, all the older Pokemon I was gushing over seeing them in the real world.. sure wish I kept my little collection of holographic cards

I was skeptical about this movie in the build up to it but it was really enjoyable. It's definitely made me want more movies in the style of this one rather than fully animated ones.

My concern going into this was that I'd be lost as I haven't actively followed Pokemon for sixteen-seventeen odd years now, give or take. I was therefore pleasantly surprised that a lot of it seemed more geared towards those who were kids during the beginning of the Pokemon craze like myself and my older brother who like yourself, he was around middle school age during the height of it all. Like you said, this movie was quite fun and quite enjoyable.

I stayed up to date with Pokemon and saw this in the cinema fully expecting not to see my fave since i watched all the trailers but then you see bunch of Totodile's (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EIJrP4DW4AA4P-Z.jpg) in the "Welcome to Ryme City" video on the train and it made me so happy. Apparently it's also Justice Smith's favourite so i have a feeling he might have gotten them to add them somewhere haha. But i think it's one of the best video game movies and can't wait to see where they take it with the sequel.
