I know exactly what you mean about the ending, and I felt much the same way. It's a wonderful trick to be able to pull - and great writing, of course - to make you want to see these two characters get together across the season so far, and then when it actually happens it just feels wrong.

It seems like everybody that I've talked to, their favorite moment was the ending scenes, which to be fair I understand why. Myself personally the highlight of the episode was the scenes regarding Claire's haircut. The second I saw it I started cackling like a madman to the point I sounded like Mark Hamill as the Joker. I even had to rewind four times because I was laughing so hard I kept missing the dialogue. Other stand out moments of the episode were seeing Bank Manager again and Godmother's spectacular meltdown.

It’s funny, but the two “villains” of the show delighted me as much as the more sympathetic characters. Maybe because I have so much affection for both actors. Brett Gelman plays an asshole that makes you laugh better than anyone I can think of, and Olivia Colman chewing the scenery is my everything. I’m kinda glad I never watched Sherlock before so that this show could be my introduction to Andrew Scott. I think I’d only seen PWB as tall, bitchy defense council in Broadchurch before this. Anyway, loved the reaction! I was thinking that if you wanted to do any other short run reactions, you would love Derry Girls and Big Little Lies if you haven’t seen them before.
