I just love the questions you're asking and the observations you're making. I think you're the first reactor I've seen who fully absorbed what 'Sam' said to himself in front of the mirror. Many talk over it, and are therefore still asking the wrong questions at the end of the episode. You're right, perhaps not the most engaging of guest stars this time, although nothing especially wrong with them. But I still really enjoy this episode - we're still in the world building phase of the series and you're just brushing the edges of the brothers' characters and their relationship. I'm sure everyone's telling you again and again that it's going to get wild! I'm glad you're patient with it. Very excited for you to see more!
