Codex Entry: Coastal Empire - Northern Shores of Gehenna (492 A.C) (Patreon)

While technically within the domain of The Coastal Empire, there are no imperial outposts or garrisons to enforce law in Northern Shores of Gehenna. After the nuclear cataclysms destroyed the north-eastern portion of the old-world nation of the United States, the resulting radioactive fallout made the entire region uninhabitable.

Century-old writings detailing THE CONQUEROR'S rule confirm that he was born in this region before the cataclysms occurred. No people are believed to be living in The Northern Shores of Gehenna. Unlike other Gehenna regions around the globe, the Northern Shores are home to giant creatures many times the size of those found elsewhere. Unconfirmed reports from fishermen and traders even describe some as being so large they defy imagination. 

We have no official documentation of any of the flora or fauna residing in the Northern Shores. However there is one beast who's existence no one can deny. Traders, fisherman, researchers and even settlers living many kilometers away from the Northern Shores have all given reports of crustacean-like beasts with 4 legs and 2 arms, and that are so large they just barely touch the clouds. 

These crab like giants mainly inhabit the northernmost regions of Gehenna and display no signs of intelligence. They roam the landscape digging, poking and eroding the land seemingly without purpose.
