Hey guys! Please read this post in its entirety, its very important for the future of ALL Story Poll content on my Patreon!

So one of the things I get asked the most in the comments these days is to "please update this or that Story Poll more often". Which admittedly hasn't ever been possible before because I had 10 Story Polls going on a biweekly schedule, plus two weekly poll winners a week. There are only so many days in a week, and for a long time those basically accounted for all seven days of the week.

That said, recent events has left me with an opportunity to possibly try something new soon-ish (as in sometime in the next few months probably.) This is a bit complicated, so read carefully to make sure you understand.

Essentially, I currently have 9 Story Polls. 8 of them are updating once every two weeks, while the Star Wars Story Poll is updating once a week. This is because the Star Wars story is close to being finished. Now, the My Hero Academia story is also being set aside for the time being based on the results of a Vibe Check from two weeks ago. On top of that, I consider The Grimm Prince to be close to being done as well, probably in the next ten-twenty chapters?

I've considered things for a bit and come to the conclusion that if I were to try to switch from Biweekly Updates for Story Polls, I could only support six Story Polls instead of the current maximum of ten. With APGFFA, TS, and TGP all coming to an end, this would leave me with only six Story Polls left and instead of replacing those three stories with new stories, I could go ahead and just stick to the six Story Polls remaining and move them to a weekly schedule.

HOWEVER, this would result in me having zero anime settings left among my Story Polls, because MHA and RWBY are the only two anime stories I have left running at this point. And I know I have a sizable audience who are here for the long form anime content.

So I'm coming to you guys to basically figure out what you want. I will specifically outline the two options below for you so please read carefully:

1. I keep things as they currently are and ramp my way back up to ten Story Polls, each updating once every TWO WEEKS. This means my schedule will eventually look like this in a few months once APGFFA, TS, and TGP are all finished with the first five alternating with the second five every other week:

  • Sunday: The XXX-Gene (Marvel)

  • Monday: Coming of Age (Percy Jackson)

  • Tuesday: New Story (currently the Star Wars slot)

  • Wednesday: Lightning Strikes Twice (Harry Potter)

  • Thursday: Endless Legacy (DC Comics)

  • Sunday: New Story (currently the My Hero Academia slot)

  • Monday: The Sun Reborn (Cyberpunk)

  • Tuesday: New Story (old Naruto slot, currently also the Star Wars Slot)

  • Wednesday: New Story (currently the RWBY slot)

  • Thursday: The Grimoire's Chosen (Worm)

OR

2. I par down my number of Story Polls to six in order to be able to update them weekly instead of every two weeks. This means once APGFFA, TS, and TGP are all finished in a few months my new schedule would eventually look like this with Sunday through Thursday each week being:

  • Sunday: The XXX-Gene (Marvel)

  • Monday: Coming of Age (Percy Jackson) / The Sun Reborn (Cyberpunk) (COA would update in the mornings like usual, TSR would update in the evenings)

  • Tuesday: The Grimoire's Chosen (Worm)

  • Wednesday: Lightning Strikes Twice (Harry Potter)

  • Thursday: Endless Legacy (DC Comics)

The second option does NOT mean I would never write an anime Story Poll again, but it does mean that one of my other Story Polls would have to either finish or be sunsetted first before I would replace them with a new one that MIGHT be anime.

But essentially, I want to make it ABUNDANTLY clear what the schedule would look like if I did switch to updating every Story Poll once a week instead of once every two weeks, so that people could look at the stories that would currently be updated and make an informed vote.

If none of the stories in Option 2 are things you're currently reading from me, then you may want to vote for Option 1 in the hope that one of the four new stories that will eventually come about there are something you want to read.

One option would be to use the slots freed by the ending of "Perverted Galaxy Far Far Away" to convert two stories to a weekly format (maybe put them up for a vote? My preference would be "Endless Legacy" and "XXX-Gene" as Marvel & DC have enough material for a longer story without running out of ideas) and then put the new anime story in the slot freed by "The Successor". That way you still have a slot for an anime story while speeding up the two most preferred stories to a weekly slot. When Grimm Prince is a few chapters away from ending, you can revisit the poll to see if the readers would prefer a new story or would prefer to turn another story into a weekly format.

I like anime a decent amount, but I can't say that's been a huge decision maker for me in whether I'm interested in a story prompt or not. It's also just nice to have a weekly update on stories instead of bi-weekly. The only real issue I can see with that is for people who aren't as interested in the six as they are the potential other four, but... meh. Personally speaking, I'm for option 2.

I am reading most of the stories, bit not all. I became a patrean for the DxD story The Sleeping Dragon. That has already ended, but I will admit I am fo d of the Bi-weekly schedule. I am also a big fan of at least one anime story, but I will not leave if the once a week wins, with it being a LONG time before another anime pops up. My vote went to keep it as it is, but we will see where the die land after this poll. Either way, thanks for some of the best stories I have had the pleasure of reading and for making some of my most dreary time at work just a little bit more enjoyable. Thanks, Cambrian.

The oringal thing that made me join was CoA, LST, APGFFA and Naruto story that was canned unfortunately. I did also start reading Endless Legacy and XXX gene shortly before so they had a little sway. Aside from those, I really only read The sun reborn (Ngl, the description of Iron Man didn't seem like I'd like it so it's up in the air). Since those would all be in the line up, I think I would be fine with 6 stories weekly since I am actively reading them. I would also probably be a minority on which anime gets stories lmao.
