Edit: sorry I wasn’t clear, but 8 x 8 and 10 x 10 aren’t options. 😂

Hey all!

I'm continuing to work on this dungeon tile set idea I've got cooking around. I'm basing the sizes on the card printing sizes that DriveThruCards has. Originally, I was using the 6 x 6 tiles. However, it was hard to keep things interesting with it. The next biggest size is 8 x 10. While you can do a lot more interesting things with it, they don't work as well for tiling due to their oblong size of them. But as you can see, I can make bigger hallways, which is a place, and do some more interesting designs.

If I were to continue with this project, which of the two sizes do you prefer?

Note that I've added texture to the walls on the 8 x 10, something I'll likely do on 6 x 6 if that's the one you want. I've also added in the grid and removed it over the "out of play" zones to make it a little easier to understand.

A - Original 6 x 6 Size (Better for Placing)

B - New 8 x 10 Size (Wider Paths, Bigger Rooms)

I prefer them square so that I can mix and match.

Squares. Larger are better. 8x8, 10x10, 12x12. Rooms for actual combat

I like the option for 8x10, since this can also be printed out for use in IRL play as well as VTT.

Need to keep it square, 8x8 or 10x10 preferably. I voted 6x6 because it is the closest to what I want. :P

If 6x6 is the biggest square then that would be my vote, 8x8 or 10x10 would be better but it sounds like they arent currently an option.

Do 8x10 and when you need square rooms make them 8x8 in the middle and you can lay another one over the edge row.

I like the 8x10 so it doesn't waste paper when printing.

As I play most of my gaming online, having the larger tiles gives me more options.

Either would be fine, but I would keep them a square 6x6, 8x8, 10x10 so they can be turned in any direction. I like the idea of 10 foot hallways but at times 5 is good but that could be adjusted in game on the tile itself.

6x6 cards, any rooms, features requiring bigger user 2, 4, or 8 of the 6x6 tile cards to make one big tile. When you draw one of those from the deck, it should come with it's mates to make the space. Then every thing stays good with the squares and you can get your bigger rooms. But that all depends on how the tiles get laid down.

8x10 would work great because you can always lay them on a table grid and extend hallways to make them connect in different ways/orientations. Which adds to the value and versatility

I like James Munnnerlyn idea above. This could lead to multiple room types with different interiors on each card. Circle room could be a square on one side or a narrow hallway leading to another tile. I do like the new wall hangover as well.
