Hey all!

I've created a couple example tiles based on what I'm thinking. I like Dyson Logos' geomorph design where each tile he creates has 8 exits. Then, the tiles can connect to other tiles perfectly without any weird "bumping into an open wall" type deal. If there's a dead end, it's shown on the adjacent card. This creates more versatility and looks a little better, in my opinion.

Here is an example of how two such cards work:

These are two cards (The Entrance and The Antechamber). As you can see on the antechamber card, it's got a handful of dead ends that would stick to other cards.

Below I've set up a poll. Let me know if you like this style, and if this is something you could/would use, or if you'd prefer something different. If the latter, tell me in the comments. Your idea.

Note: since these are 6 x 6 tiles, I can have them made at DriveThruCards in packs of 10 or so, which would be pretty cool!

Thanks!

Make this but also make an example map or two with it? I find myself too lazy to build a map sometimes.

AtraxianBear did something similar to this if you want to see some examples.

It's very cool. But, since you're channelling Dyson, can you use lighter colors with more contrast? Maybe not full B&W, but not dark, Dark, DARK.

This is a very good point. When you have a darkness overlay on top of maps like this in a VTT it's pretty much impossible to see anything!

I was thinking that you might not need to darken the maps if you provide with raised scenery to act as an alternative braille :p For me I would be printing them out and gluing them to a board base and so yeah getting them lighter is a great idea.

This is dark as stated above. Need some different colors. Some passages need to be wider than five feet. Also thinking ahead for VTT and placement of walls, they need to just hang over the lines where the VTT walls will be drawn out.

OK, late to the party, but a strong NO vote because there are already so many similar products out there. Use your strong talents for something more original/unique!

I’ll show you what I’m working on. It’s pretty rad (and unlike other things out there).

Brighter colors preferred.
