Hey all!

Since BroadSword Monthly officially ends on Monday, with the last issue being the Best of DMDave Adventures Compendium, I hit up the Electrum, Gold, and Platinum folks on the types of content that they want to replace it. So far, it's about 67% in favor of additional adventures over educational stuff. And while there's more than a week to go with the poll, I figured I better prepare in advance (plus, runaway leads like that rarely switch over).

This leads me to my question:

What type of DMDave adventures do you like best?

I typically have four styles of adventure:

  • Dungeons & Lairs. These are adventures set in a single location featuring a specific monster as the dominant monster. They often cover multiple levels for ease of use.
  • Omeria-Specific. These adventures take place in Omeria and are more about the campaign setting of Omeria than they are about versatility. Examples include the Yazur Island series I put out this month and last.
  • Story-Driven. This style of adventure is more focused on telling a story and usually features more than one location. Examples include Awaken, Queen of the Shadows, and Enter Sandman.
  • Old-School Dungeon. These adventures are set in pure dungeons that feature an equal mix of traps, hazards, monsters, and puzzles, hearkening back to the dungeons of old—aka Gygaxian style. Examples include Uncle Skeleton stuff, Dungeon of the Week, and Tomb of the Kirin-born Prince.

I've put these four into the poll below. You can vote as many times as you like.

Once the poll is done, I'll take these percentages and offer that for the coming month. For example, if D/L gets 25%, Omeria gets 50%, and Story gets 25% (and OSR Dungeons get 0%), and we release four adventures next month, you'll get one D/L, two Omeria, and one Story-Driven with zero OSR dungeons. We'll vote again at the end of November.

I'm anxious to see the results! Voting ends Monday.

I'm not sure which category adventures like "Emperor of Bones" fall into, but that would be my vote.
