The Versailles Anniversary Project consumed 8 months of my life, and 8 months of your attention. It was the largest, most ambitious, and most exhausting project we have ever taken on. What did this 'taking on' actually look like though? You may know that it was a long hard enjoyable slog, but what else is there to the story of this monster, which, as the statistics show, has taken more than 67 hours to fully unwrap? Well history friend, look no further, as finally bid farewell to this project once and for all.

No concluding revelations here - just the musings and memories of me, your host, as I spill the beans about my experience. If you were curious, or had more questions about how I did this, then look no further. A huge thanksss must be said once more history friend, for making Versailles the best place to be for well over half a year. Here's to the next audio adventure, but until then, I will see you all on 9th September for the Thirty Years War!

Zack, just finished the entire Versailles series which I have been eagerly following as you have released each episode from last autumn. The series is a triumph of scholarship and an essential contribution to my understanding of International Relations over the past couple of centuries. Thank you. Brilliant work. Ian Wilson

A massive thank you for all your efforts. It has been a joy to listen to the podcast and most informative and interesting. Also a timely reminder about just how difficult international negotiations are.

James White

Serious amount of content. But very good.

I enjoyed the Versailles project but the ending felt a bit anti-climatic. I guess that's because I knew everything these men were trying so hard to achieve wouldn't last.

Just finished the series. Wow. I will have to go back in some time and relisten to it because there is so much there I know I have lost half of it. I downloaded the epsiodes all from the WDF website. I assume this edited MP3 lacks all the repeated lines. I must say -- while at first a little annoying I actually enjoyed after awhile hearing the raw takes and it gave me an appreciation for the effort that must go into editing. Thanks for all you do Zack. I hope you got plenty of rest after this one.

Thanks Brian! That's odd though, there shouldn't be too many editing errors in those files... Perhaps I was beginning to lose the will to live by the time I reached the end of the project haha. Still the busiest I've ever been in my life, between doing Versailles, the Delegation Game, and lecturing in Uni, but looking back on it, I'm glad I took it on.
