I think Harvey Weinstein (boo hiss) made the decision to release two movies because it was so long and Miramax would make more money from multiple daily showings, and have two shots at awards season. The Bride tells Bill her baby is his at the beginning of the first movie. I believe he also calls her Kiddo then. Stunt casting: Bill tells the story of the Shaolin monks; David Carradine played a Shaolin monk in the 1970s TV Western series 'Kung Fu', where he was searching the frontier for his lost half-brother. When Elle's remaining eye is plucked out, she falls into a screaming fit in a similar fashion to when Deckard kills the fembot Pris in 'Blade Runner', another of Daryl Hannah's roles. Uma Thurman was one of the brighter spots in a bad movie as Poison Ivy in 'Batman and Robin'. Last year she played the US President and mother of one of the main characters in 'Red, White & Royal Blue'. Older roles I like her in were Janeane Garofolo's fashion model friend in 'The Truth About Cats & Dogs' (1996), a take-off on the Cyrano de Bergerac story; and especially as Irene, the love interest in the great 1997 Andrew Niccol sci-fi movie 'Gattaca' with Ethan Hawke and Jude Law.
