Fun reaction! You should definitely check out "Talented Mr. Ripley," which this movie owes heavy debts to. It's less shocking, but so well crafted and acted (Matt Damon, Jude Law, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Cate Blanchett and GOOP-y Gwynneth Paltrow), certainly a better movie overall (though I also love the shot mess you just watch), with amazing Italian scenery, cinematography, music and more (not to mention the new "Ripley" Netflix series is based on the same amazing book series from brilliant misanthrope and can fancier Patricia Highsmith, so posting before that series' April debut would be a buzz-creating move). Others have mentioned "Brideshead Revisited" as a reference for "Saltburn," but I didn't think of "Get Out," but that's an astute observation that only goes slightly down the drain (pun intended). Finally, for more shocking but brilliant artistry with Jacob Elordi (not to mention Emmy-winning Zendaya), check out HBO's "Euphoria" (this show is a reactor's dream).
