The difficulties with the doors was a running thing in the actual game the actors played. They were constantly failing rolls to unlock or force doors open. The running joke for that whole campaign was that doors were their arch-nemesis.

Travis Willingham, the CEO of Critical Role, Has confirmed a season two that's in the pipeline. He, as well as much of the rest of the cast, has stated that they have interest in having more than just two seasons. Hopefully We'll get more than two, but two is a certainty right now as far as I know.

The sweaty body builder looking dude who Scanlan was hitting on was one of the animators. He had made a request to try and bed Scanlan pretty much so they added that scene in. They have been peppering members of the studio into scenes as extras throughout the series as little easter eggs. The scene between Keyleth and Vex at the end was also the first time that Vex has shown approval to anything Keyleth has done. Previously she had only ever shown her disapproval and scorn and just straight up talking her down any time she got the chance.
