This is the high part of the novel at least up to what I have read. It's about 50% less good in comparison. The best part in my opinion got cut out. In reality there were many officials there and they had to clear the room to talk about him not seeing the difference between monsters. It made it even more intense.

Seemed cut to me. They even used the friend in the east and west which is a reference to this. I won't say they impossible but this is the highlight of the interaction here in my opinion.
