Definitely some Thanagarian vibes going on with Omni-man. My Justice League peeps will know what I'm talking about. I don't think he's being controlled. This feels like a planned type of thing to me. Unfortunately this worlds version of the justice league will never get the chance to figure out who Darkwing really is. bummer. Poor Dollar Genreal Wally West.

The Guardians aren't so much a JLA ripoff as the JLA itself being the source of many of the classical superhero archetypes that they are references to. A few of the less obvious, less JLA touchstones even fly under the radar for folks who aren't super into comic books. Red Rush being a nod to the cold war era trend of throwing a Russian guy onto the team (often with "Red" in their name). Green Ghost being a nod to classic heroes like Hourman or Elasticman whose powers came from paraphernalia they ingested and were only temporary. There's a lot going on there.

Nah. This is deep esoteric geek knowledge. Interesting Easter Eggs for those in the know, but what's important is right on the surface for anyone with a cursory knowledge of Superheroes to spot. Good video, by the by.
