Peak trash has arrived! While the anime has widely varying opinions about it (some view it as absolute trash, others absolute peak), the manga was actually really good... at least until the last 10 chapters where the mangaka fumbled it.

Yes. When she started to have feelings for the MC, I got sad cause I knew she wasn't going to end up with him. I mean she was throwing herself at him at the end. Also why are the side characters better written than the main characters, like i think the best written character was drug addict girl.

Need to be careful because I don't want to spoil the anime, but I don't think it's necessarily the "side characters" being better written than the main characters - after all, nobody really talks about what great characters Momo or Miu are (okay, maybe exaggerating a little on Momo), but we talk about how we love Serizawa, Misaki (the drug addict), and others. And I think there's a reason for that - what the anime covers itself isn't particularly well written - but ironically the manga starts getting much better written AFTER what the anime covers. And that includes the main characters - Hina in the aftermath of what happens at the end of the season; Rui about the time she starts interacting with her father, and Natsuo in college. In fact, Natsuo's bout with writer's block is some of the best written stuff in the entire series (and it's probably no coincidence that's when he's interacting with Serazawa).

I actually like how Momo ended she deserve it. Do you think they stop animating it because not enough interest or because there's a lot of nudity? I just hope someone picks it up and finishes it and maybe we get an anime original ending which as you know we'll be happy with.

Yeah, like I said, I was overexaggerating with Momo. I had actually forgotten what happened to her until a moment ago - that was a nice surprise in the story. As far as an anime-only ending, would people be happy with it? I wasn't upset with who he ended up with; it was the one he probably should have ended up with in the end; I was upset with how it got there... because it was a total right-hand turn that threw out hundreds of chapters of story development just to reach that ending (like I said - the manga being really good up until the last 10 or so chapters). If that was the desired ending they should have started writing towards that around the Tokyo Bay cruise. Meanwhile, who he was with up until the right-hand turn was also actually really solid story writing, and with the way the story had been told up to that point ending with her would have been completely natural. The other problem is in an anime-original ending they would end up upsetting at least half of the fans... and it's not going to be Serazawa because that would be a complete story rewrite.

Cause like im not really upset on how it ended since i get why she did the right-hand turn but i mean I think they went through much more then who he ended up with. Don't you think if the anime only ending the MC ends up with the other one most people would like it since that's what they wanted to happen in the manga. No matter what best girl Serazawa will not win. Is it just me that thinks Serazawa is much more attractive than the other two? Did you read Good Ending? In the last chapter or 2 when they were showing on what happen with the other characters after the time skip, there was a DR. with a name tag which means that she's importpant. I search her name up and it was a character from Good Ending. If you have read Good Ending, is it good?

I mean, yeah - if they did an anime-only ending (keeping in mind this would be like the end of S5) such that they ended it the way the manga had actually been written for hundreds of chapters, I think there would be relatively few people upset about it. As I was saying, even if you were happy with who "won" in the manga, nobody that I know of was happy with how she won - not that any of the characters did anything wrong; it's just an ending that made absolutely no sense based on how the story was written, even if the winner herself made sense. I haven't read "Good Ending" - I didn't even know it existed. And yeah - it's been extremely difficult having this conversation without spoiling anything in the anime. Kinda makes it fun, though.

True. At the end of the day, if its not Serazawa who wins then it's not a good ending lol. So when they were showing Momo after the time skip she becomes a you know what and one of her colleagues was wearing a name tag which I found strange and thought " if they put a name in the name tag, it should mean something." So I search the name up and it's a character from Good Ending which is the manga the author created before Domestic Girlfriend. I want to start reading it but since the nametag kind of spoil it since her last name is different from when the manga started, I already know who she ends up with. I like it when they include characters from their other work. I hope they do the same thing with Oshi no Ko if you're up to date with the manga, you should know what I'm talking about.

I watched Domestic Girlfriend a few years ago... and I know why people have issues with it. But man... this is just a Anime, it's not real life. So for me personally, it was a enjoyable watch. I liked it. I would love it if there would be a Season 2.

crying for rain is unironically one of the alltime best intro songs ever. it’s actually so upsetting that it was used on a show like domestic gf
