Wolf is the tool of a devil for tiny isolated villages w/o any walls, because the mfs eat all your shit like livestock etc, and they also try to clap your hunters & gatherers in the forests too. Snakes don't generally have enough venom in the sac to kill big bois like humans, nor do they usually even attack humans unless they feel threatened by proximity etc (I mean I suppose Truyeo could eat humans since I assume it's snake but Holo/Diana sized basically, more or less. I assume the upscaled "god" animals still follow internal scaling like most of their smaller units do in nature). Based on other series w/ similar types of tropes, I'd like to bet that Father Franz is Truyeo, and the death was pretty much fake af. How else would some randomass priest in some small village have so much power? I bet dude threatened Enberch higher ups about the past or w/e. I mean we know that Holo & Diana have humanoid forms as well, I doubt Truyeo would be any different...
