Fairycake Pinup (Patreon)

     Almost did it again! I was working away on the next Far West page, with my cats bugging me to go to bed, when I happened to remember that my posts were going live shortly with no text. But I remembered! 

     As the title suggests, this is a piece intended for Fairycake, the collection of fairy-themed pinups I hope to do--though this piece is a little more involved than what I think of as a pinup. (Personally, I love the old, classic pinup style, with just a few props to suggest a scene, or even just background outlines, like Petty used. But that's just me.) I don't know if the "Naughty Bits" banner was necessary, but the mushroom might have been a bit much for Patreon, had I made the image visible. Corrupting the youth and all.) There's a big market out there for faerie art, but I'm not at all sure how that particular audience will react to mature themes. Successful artists in the genre tend to echo Brian Froud's work, and while I absolutely love Froud's work, he's already doing it, you know? Anyway, it's just going to be chesecakey (as the name suggests), not explicit, so we'll see.
