Far West: "Undercovers" Costume Designs (Patreon)

      As you may or may not have noticed, I try to keep the designs of everything in Far West as close to our own Old West as possible (and I mean the real Old West, not the version we were sold by Hollywood up until the 70s or so). I think that grounding helps sell a world that comes with elves and dragons. So I realized that in preparing for a story in which Meg goes undercover in a brothel, I would have to "whore her up a bit", but keep it as accurate to the period as possible. I've drawn her as a saloon girl a number of times, and many people think of this as a working girl's outfit for the period, but they're quite different. The above sketches are a pretty good representation of actual cathouse attire. And no, I did not add the easy-access opening in the back of the first one. I'll probably go with number 2, though, because there's nothing sexy about culottes or bloomers. And I think the hairdo is actually kind of cute on her. Any thoughts?
