Last week was a weird one. I've been "helping" my friend Grayson Fogg with a couple of sculpts for a deadline (designing, building armatures, sculpting, painting--that kind of help), so my time has been stretched paper-thin. I thought I was on track to bring you a new Beauties and Beasts piece this week, then about mid-week realized I wouldn't make it. I couldn't do it as a WIP because it's oversized, and every time I scanned it I would have had to digitally stitch it together...which I barely remember how to do. So I thought I would scan it in pieces, and crop down to selected, finished areas, sharing details this week and then later showing how they all fit together when it was done. Then, on Saturday, something was dropped into my lap that took up a big (and ongoing) chunk of time...and on Sunday, an almost identical other something was also dropped in my lap (I'm obviously being purposely vague--sorry about that), ensuring that there was no way I could finish even those details I mentioned. So, long story not that short, here's a painting I did years ago, which today reminds me of my B&B series. Hopefully most of you haven't seen it before. I'll do my best to have new content for you next week. Promise.
