Oops. Would you like some text with that post? I've been sculpting at night lately, and I tend to forget everything else when I'm sculpting...including adding text to posts before they auto-post. *sigh*

This piece--another Beauties and Beasts design, obviously--has a long history. I first sketched the original version over a decade ago, but there were problems.  I wasn't satisfied with the female figure, but I couldn't figure out what I didn't like about it, so I didn't know how to fix it. A bigger problem was that the original drawing differed in a significant way from the color sketch: in the full sketch, the male figure's mouth is almost completely blocked from view. I liked the color sketch version much better, but it just seemed like too big of a hassle to fix it all. And as far as sharing the original here, it's bigger than I can scan, so that's out. So I finally decided to just do it  over again, without even looking at the original. Everything was fixed, and I moved his arms to in front of her, which I like a lot more.
