So obviously this isn't the Boneyard page I was supposed to have for you. Just couldn't quite get it finished, with the wonderful heat out here in California, and what I'm hoping is just burn-out and fatigue. But it'll definitely be here next week, and that should give me a little cushion that I haven't had for a long time. This page of Bushwhackers is obviously unfinished, and I picked it for just that reason. It shows the steps of the process, from light pencils to picking out the light areas with white charcoal, then adding the darks with pencils (you can't do the darks first, because graphite has an oily component that doesn't get along with charcoal). In case it's too small to make out, that's Jonesy's biplane flying erratically through the air. The premise is that she's supposed to be keeping the giant ape-like thing distracted with the plane while Tara does her daring archaeology thing in the forbidden temple, but as you can see, Jonesy is otherwise occupied (as she often is). Like I said, it would have been a fun series.
