Behind-the-scenes secret about my work: whenever I draw a creature with no clear "type" (vampire, werewolf, politician, etc.), I tend to just call it a goblin. It's a nice, ill-defined catch-all. In this case, this cutie originally had bat wings in place of her ears, like Gretch in Gobs (which was about goblins--see?), but for some reason I changed it at the last moment. I tend to fuss over details like that, which is silly, given that the wings are not what everyone's going to be looking at (it's the knees, obviously). I did give her large bat ears, so she should be able to navigate in the dark via echolocation. And even if she can't, she's got built-in air bags (insert rimshot sound effect).
