     So it turns out you gain a few skills after living for 2,000 years. Have I mentioned that one early incarnation of Abbey was in a series of erotic adventures set in various historical periods? Never got past the script stage (and probably some costume designs), but it would have been fun. My favorite was one where Abbey was a kind of Zorro-type, swashbuckling hero to the poor in 1790's Venice. Really cool visual potential there. She was even going to have a run-in with Deja Vu, before she took that name and became the Deja we know today, back when she was just a really powerful, evil cunt of a witch. (Excuse my language. I know the word "witch" is offensive to some.) It was actually the visual style that kept be from doing it. I realized after writing a few scripts that I was envisioning a really cool, sophisticated  European comic art style, like Blacksad, for instance. I knew I could not deliver that, so Abbey had to wait for Boneyard, where a simpler, cartoonier style was appropriate, to make her debut.
