Those of you who've read any M'Lady shorts know that they're always wordless: no text at all, just pictures telling a story. I honestly have no idea how this came about. I don't remember ever sitting down and deciding that I would do these little adult shorts in pantomime. (I also never planned them to be fully adult. They were originally going to be playfully suggestive, with teasing nudity but nothing explicit. That obviously didn't last long.) But somehow it worked out that way. Now it seems weird to think of it any other way.

While sketching pieces for my Beauties and Beasts series, I noticed that I had more than a few featuring a female "astronaut" done in the retro-futurism style from the 50's known as the Googie style (and thus I've nicknamed her "Googie"). I had done so many, in fact (with many more thumbnailed), that I decided to spin her off into a whole series of her own.  That's got me thinking of doing some comic shorts featuring Googie; nothing adult in nature, just little, disastrous run-ins with different alien monsters, often resulting in accidental nudity. Cheesecakey kind of stuff. But for some reason, it feels like it might be another "silent" title, with no text. I guess we'll see.
