"Clover" (Patreon)

Funny thing about sketching this piece: I kept erasing and redrawing and adjusting the face without knowing why. Then, once it was almost done, I realized why: I had unconsciously been trying for a likeness of an actress I've seen all of one time.  Those of you familiar with one of my favorite movies, The Warriors, might remember a gang in the movie called "The Lizzies". The gang's leader was an adorable brunette I always had a thing for. Something in the process of sketching this piece reminded me of that actress, and I followed that muse until I achieved a sort  of "kind caricature" of her. That's never happened to me before, that I'm aware of. I just thought that was kind of weird and interesting.
