I am terrible at erasing pencil lines. There. I said it. I wasn't aware of this until relatively recently, however, when my wife got me what is essentially a pair of magnifying goggles.  They look ridiculous, and would be more at home on the sweating, twitching face of a mad scientist, but they work. I was wearing them while inking that I discovered how well they work...and learned of my odd deficiency. I needed to refer to an earlier commission, and brought up a scan without removing the goggles. There, in an enlarged view of what was supposed to be a cleaned-up page,  were clear pencil lines that I had missed. I checked other scans and, while they weren't everywhere, they were common enough as to be quite embarrassing. For whatever reason, once inks are laid down, it's very difficult for my eyes to make out the remaining pencil lines. So now, I wear the goggles whenever I erase lines; if I don't have them with me, I make sure to erase all over the page twice.

If you blow up the pinup of Kat and her "friends", you can see the dreaded, telltale lines I'm talking about. Soon I'm going to be combining gray tones with my inking, as I've done a few times before ("The Bigenning", some adult shorts, etc.), so it won't be an issue.
