Hawk Girl (Patreon)

Another rare foray into superhero territory. Again I find myself wishing my style had veered a little more mainstream. Or that my drawing skill sets were a lot broader. I have stories I'd love to do, but my style just isn't right for them. (Any aspiring artists out there looking to break into a shitty, dying industry...?) And   speed! How can you get slower  at something the longer you do it?  I should be Speedy fucking Gonzalez by now; instead I'm that sloth from Zootopia. I need to find a way to loosen up. I thought these shorts would be a good opportunity, but it hasn't turned out that way. I'm starting a series of mini pinups, in the hopes that working small and quickly will help me speed up in my color work. Reconditioning, I guess you could call it. Maybe on the next  Boneyard  short page I'll make a conscious effort to work faster and less self-consciously. You all can let me know if it looks like a steaming pile...
