HOWDY PATRONS! I took a few needed weeks off of rocket launches and am back with more Scout flights! Scout Flight 6 will be largely similar to flight 5 with a few small improvements.

Flight 5 still had some rough velocity control on landing, and I've increased control gains to fix that. Throttle control also had a sample rate problem where the PID controller looking at descent rate thought our descent was a lot more jittery than reality. That's all fixed up now too :)

I'm excited to find out how reliable this rocket actually is! There's a good chance we don't stick the landing on this flight, but we learn a little more every flight!

For those who are newer to these live streams, they happen right at the crack of dawn in Pacific Time! Launch time and day is selected based on the lowest possible wind and the best lighting, which usually occurs at dawn. See you then!

Blue skies,

Joe

LIVE Scout F - Launch and Landing Attempt 6

Flight six! Please do not share footage or screenshots from this stream! Should have stronger velocity control on the way down, and slightly improved throttle control.
