Hey hey! And i'm super excited to share that we've finally completed the core animation for the whole Fischl x Slime project - all 200 scenes! Now, we're moving on to the final stage of work where we will add final improvements, lights and fixes! We still might add a scene or two if needed to improve the transitions and pace, but overall the core is there and we already can watch the animation from start to finish! And the scene you're looking at now is one of the last few (｡> ‿ ◕｡)❤️

Despite being in the final stages of work, we're still have much to edit and polish - 200 scenes is no joke =P So we want to use this time to further experiment and improve the animation, lighting, and voice acting! So in this render we tried a new lighting technique where the character is fully highlighted, rather than being in shadow and having "rim lighting". We started using that style with "Slime-pillow" scenes and now adapting it to our usual ones too. This creates a more stylized look while maintaining softness in the texture of the skin. We're seriously considering using this new style for the whole animation, including reworking some of the first scenes, but would love to hear your opinion first! Do you prefer the old lighting style (from the very first WIPs) or the new one? As always, your feedback is super welcome! (っˆڡˆς)❤️We are also considering the possibility of using two "styles" of light, like starting with the old and gradually move to the new, but it will probably look a little "inconsistent", so we may want to stick with just one.
