Ok so to clarify about season 2 and the movie: This season is based on the Visual novel of the same name and adapts the full story in these 24 episodes. Then there was a special OVA episode made afterwards that acts as kind of an epilogue but is anime original. Then the movie was released which is also an anime original story that takes place after that OVA. Due to not being an adaptation it does have some in consistency with the pre-established rules but it’s still a perfectly enjoyable film. Then Steins;Gate 0 is an adaptation of the semi-sequel visual novel, however unlike the original visual novel which had multiple endings but each path didn’t differ too much from each other, Steins;Gate 0’s different story paths heavily differ from each other which makes it harder to make a show from an adaptation standpoint. Now while the 0 anime is really good it’s nowhere near as clean and well constructed as the original, and the original Steins;Gate has a very conclusive ending already. So honestly it’s up to you whether you wanna watch any or all of them. It’s also perfectly valid to leave it at the end of the original show as well. No matter what I’ll be seated for all the reactions I love this series so so much.
